Rose of Sharon

Cross stitch Blocks
Cheddar c. 1880
One of my favorite patterns Robbing Peter to Pay Paul. I always wanted to make this pattern.
I think this might be a kit quilt

A sampler with a 1974 date.

This is a Mountain Mist Pattern.

  1. I usually don't like orange, but the Quilts that you have shared are beautiful. Some of the patterns are new to me and are very inspiring. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I have not made an orange quilt, but now I want to! I can barely believe all the beautiful quilts you own (and you collect more than just orange, I suspect). I was planning to tell you which ones are my favorites, but it's too difficult to choose. Thanks for sharing them.

  3. OMG! OMG! OMG! I'm glad I kept looking at all your previous posts. Orange is my favorite color! For years I tried denying it, but finally learned to live with it! Now my quilt studio is all done in orange and aqua. I think you'd like my blog, I blog about more than just quilts, but if you scroll down, the last thing in the box at the left, is a tag called Vintage Quilts. If you click on it, you'll see a lot of what I love. Karen

  4. Can you tell me the name of the pattern 8 down from the top, (8 pointed star)? Just beautiful.

  5. Nice. Last quilt is a great find, the MMist "Hollywood" pattern is not seen very often.
