I love this contained crazy patchwork. It was tied when I first found it. I am not fond of tied quilts, and always want to remove the ties. Which is what I did. And boy am I glad I did. Found a little secret right underneath one of the ties, what a wonderful surprise. The blocks are all sewn onto a foundation. This one is on the list to hand quilt.

Oh yes, the sashing looks so much nicer without the ties. I adore that Churn Dash block among all that beautiful craziness. A wonderful hand quilting project.
