Contained Crazy Quilt

I love this contained crazy patchwork.  It was tied when I first found it.  I am not fond of tied quilts, and always want to remove the ties.   Which is what I did.  And boy am I glad I did.  Found a little secret right underneath one of the ties, what a wonderful surprise.  The blocks are all sewn onto a foundation. This one is on the list to hand quilt.

  1. That is a beautiful quilt and I do love the contained crazy blocks, nice way to use up scraps too.

  2. It does clean up the quilt a lot without the ties; not quite so busy. I think it will look so much nicer being hand quilted. The quilt looks pretty in the full view photo. Great Quilt.

  3. Oh yes, the sashing looks so much nicer without the ties. I adore that Churn Dash block among all that beautiful craziness. A wonderful hand quilting project.
