Daddy may be hunting but he hasn't yet caught up with these playful rabbits. Stamped on 40 x 60 inch white percale with fast color appliques and choice of pink or blue border and all floss incldued, 98 cents plus 21 cents postage and packing.

ReplyDeleteLynn, a few days ago I ran across a small crib quilt very much in this style at an antique mall. It appeared to be vintage, excellent condition, and nicely hand quilted. The price was dirt cheap. Unfortunately I just don't know enough about this style and the period these quilts were made, so I passed it up, afraid that the Chinese have been able to copy quilts such as these fairly authentically. Do you know if companies are reproducing quilts like these?
ReplyDeleteI have not seen any yet. The imports are getting better and it is hard to tell sometimes. I have a large collection of vintage and antique kit crib quilts and hope to post more here. Just need to get those photos taken.
DeleteI love vintage baby and kids quilts! I wish somebody would re-issue some of these! I know it's not too hard to figure out a design, but I just don't want to have to do that, I'd rather pick up a pattern.
